I’m Niall Arnfield, a designer and developer based in Manchester, working across the UK. I build 3D product configurators, ecommerce websites and the SEO that helps them get found. I’ve been doing this since I graduated in 2015.
How I got here
- 2015 to 2017
I started out in games. My degree was in Computer Games Technology, and it taught me how 3D rendering works. My first job, as a junior systems developer at Fingertip Games, put that into practice. Fingertip was a digital studio making web and mobile games. In about 18 months there, I worked on several games and websites, using C++ and Unreal Engine.
- 2017 to July 2019
From the start of 2017 to July 2019 I worked on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University. The goal was to build a new kind of 2D product configurator, backed by 3D assets and automated image production. The research led to my MRes in Web Innovation and 3D E-commerce. Read the MMU case study.
- 2019 to 2025
In mid-2019 I started Praxis Digital 3D, a product configurator company. In 2021 Praxis released its 3D product configurator, and between 2021 and 2025 it was used by more than 20 UK businesses. The configurator is still in active development. Read the Praxis Digital 3D case study.
- 2025 onwards
In mid-2025 Praxis Digital became DreamWeb Agency. The work had already grown beyond 3D, into web development, paid ads and marketing, so the new name made that official.
Looking back, each step led to the next. Games taught me 3D rendering. 3D on the web led to ecommerce. Ecommerce led to building whole shops, and then to marketing and SEO. That path is why I can work on a 3D viewer and a slow checkout in the same week. I love making things. I always have, and I plan to keep doing it.
How I work
- Fixed-scope projects. For a defined job, I agree the scope and price with you up front. A project might take a day, a week, a month or longer, depending on its size.
- Retainers. For ongoing work, such as SEO, website care or a live configurator, I agree a monthly fee with you.
- Planned capacity. I plan work against a set capacity and a shared calendar, so each project has time set aside, even when several run at once.
- Remote first. I work remotely, and bring in trusted subcontractors for some specialist services.
- One accountable person. You work directly with me across design, development and the decisions that connect them.
Who I work best with
Manufacturers, retailers and ecommerce businesses. The work runs from the everyday, like building a website, running paid ads or fixing SEO, to the specialist, like a 3D product configurator. Having one partner across all of that means fewer hand-offs and fewer gaps between suppliers.
